less money than they'd make elsewhere. These women are the key to Utah's successes in the classroom. Not only are they great in their own classrooms, they are great at inspiring and training other teachers. Their love of teaching sets the culture at their schools. NYC doesn't have this.

(I still wish we'd raise our property taxes and pay teachers more... but that's a different conversation).
