No you didn’t. It is exactly how BYU built the brand… on WAC fodder (Utah included in the 70s & 80s).

If things stay as they currently are a few Big 12 teams have the chance to build their brands over time… and other teams will be or remain as fodder. Utah has an opportunity to build more of a national brand for the same reason. USC & UCLA going opens it up. Oregon and Washington can further cement their brands as well.

Agreed, there was a ramp up needed. But Utah also stayed regional and didn’t add 30k of travel to their season.
