College football is not the NFL. Also, it's ridiculous to say San Diego couldn't support the Chargers. They were in San Diego for 56 years. Hello? The Chargers were in an aging stadium. San Diego wouldn't build them a new one. The Rams had left LA for St Louis and came back because they were promised a new stadium. The Chargers figured they could cash in too so they made the move to squeeze our the Raiders return.
Btw ... being a P5 school will help them immensely (um ... how long has BYU NOT been a P5 school. Are we getting snooty now?) They've had a decent football and basketball team at the G5 level (better than WSU and OSU btw). Yes, their location is FAR superior to Pullman and Corvallis. Btw, they average slightly more fans in their new stadium than Washington St or Oregon St does.
