It is the opposite. Those were our fertile recruiting grounds because our
fanbase lives there and we were playing many of our road games there.
We will rarely, if ever, play road games there in the future and will become outta sight outta mind to many recruits.
Sure - if those schools all get demoted to G5 status that might neutralize that issue a bit, but, those schools are not all going to get demoted to G5 status - just like The Big 8 didn’t when it added 4 G5 schools to survive.
