piece of toast. Pretty normal lunch — I go out to eat a lot for lunch and don’t get too hung up about it. It’s where I get most of my calories. I’ll eat in n out, pizza, cafe Rio, whatever. I just don’t overdo it. And then I usually eat a small dinner — my wife eats pretty healthy so it’s a lot of salmon and salads and what not.
And then I do quite a bit of running.
Starting out on a journey to lose weight was all about becoming conscious of how much I was eating. So, calorie counting became my practice. I mixed in running to be able to give myself a few hundred more calories to eat. And then I fell in love with running, I got into a pattern of eating a lot of the same food (so I knew how much I was consuming in calories), and the weight came off and stayed off.
I also weigh myself at least daily. It just helps me stay aware and on top of my eating.
The thought of losing weight is daunting, but it can totally be done!
