Sounds like you might do better in a competitive league where you can choose your team.
It’s a rec league, kids are just learning. I try to make practices fun and focus on teaching them to like soccer and how to play, not worry about the games as much. At that age, one good player can dominate a game. Our league has rules sportsmanship rules to stop scoring if you get ahead too much.
Some parents treat our league like the World Cup and think all of the coaches are professional soccer players. We’re all a bunch of volunteers. I can deal with kids, it’s the parents that drive me nuts.
