of my mouth (since birth) and I talk 'crookedly'. My family notices it and I've noticed it when watching the rare video of myself when speaking. Drives me crazy when I see it.

I know I have others as well so I can't cast too many stones, but a guy I work with has an incredibly annoying one. He does a very loud, phlegmy, throat-clearing sound throughout the day. I've tried to think of ways to tell him, but haven't figured one out yet. The worst part is that he does it in front of clients and I'm sure they're as grossed out by it as me... A few times when he's done it, I've asked the innocent question: 'Are you coming down with a cold?' in hopes that he'll realize I ask it right after he does it. He doesn't take the bait and always just says, 'Nope.'
