Reason for waining interest in California
As a resident of California I can tell you, we have interest in spades. We simply don't have the patience for losing. IF any of the California P12 teams becomes good/great there will be much more interest.
California just has too much to offer to waste time rooting on a loser. I personally don't practice that tradition, but it is the reality of all sports teams. (Dodgers are the exception).
