games they would at least guarantee a spot in the NIT regardless of what happens in conference tourney. They are in NIT at-large range right now with their NET even if Sam Houston passes them in the last two games.
Conference tournies in those one-bid leagues are kind of brutal. WCC now has shifted the bracket to make it much harder for the worse regular season teams to win the conference tourney, but other conferences with the true 8-team quarterfinals its hard. There is a lot of closeness up at the top of their conference between UVU, Sam Houston, SUU, and Stephen F Austin.
If UVU finishes regular season as a 1 seed, they likely have best odds of any team in WAC of winning the conference tourney, but its still only about like an 18 to 20% chance of them winning the conference tourney. (having to win 3 games with the last two being close to 50-50 games)
