The listener appeal to Dave Ramsey is to hear the financial woes of the people who call into the show and feel a sense of self-satisfaction...."At least I'm not as bad off as THAT guy."
They're hoping people watch those videos, and while most will think those guys are idiots, a few will say, "Those guys are idiots, but if an idiot can get by with a $1,500/mo payment, I'd probably be okay with $600...."
