I played some Atari, but not much else
I played space invaders and pac-man back in the 80's. After that, not much at all.
In fact, once I got tired of space invaders, I started messing around on a Timex Sinclair 1000 computer and taught myself BASIC.
Today's video games are way too complex and I have no desire to even try.
The last video game I played was Quake, many years ago and I got tired of it fast, probably because I was terrible at it.
I've been a software engineer for 25 years. And frankly I am sick of it and ready to retire.

I don't know any successful computer scientists or engineers who didn't play an insane amount of video games growing up.
