BYU just isn't a good offensive team. While the refs had some bad calls (the Hall charge at the end was a big swing in momentum), BYU just can't make open shots. The offense Pope runs seems to get players open shots but they just aren't making them at a high enough percentage. On the season the team has an eFG% of 51.2%. That is not good.
Fouss and George were the only ones that had an average game score. The rest of the team struggled.
Rudi has disappeared since the Utah game. Weber St, Pacific, Portland and LMU he has not shown up. He had 4 really good games in the middle of the nonconference schedule and now he's not playing well.
If you don't like the home cookin' in the WCC this year, I think we'll see it quite a bit next year in the Big12. I've been watching Big12 games in the past two weeks and get ready for physical play with no fouls and some home cookin'. The upside is at least when BYU loses next year, it will be to a really good team and will be a "good loss" on our resume. Let's just hope that our resume will be good enough to dance.
Go Cougs!
