Help explain to me something that ESPN’s Pete Thamel tweeted about BYU yesterday
This is dumb and doesn’t matter, but I am curious.

Randomly yesterday, Pete Thamel, perhaps the biggest national CFB reporter in the country, tweeted this:

https://twitter.com/PeteThamel/status/1600193836109611009

The top comment, seemingly from a BYU fan, is “Who?”

Note that he did not tweet at all about Ed Lamb taking the Head Coaching job at UNC. He only tweeted about this random grad assistant I had never heard of taking a position coach job at an FCS school. Scan the rest of his twitter feed, he 99% focuses on big national CFB news. This one made no sense.

Why would he do that? I have a theory, but am interested if anybody has has an idea. It just seems so random.
