Losing Texas and Oklahoma hurts both sports, adding Gonzaga helps MBB revenue
Gonzaga is obviously a program that has proven that they belong in a bigger basketball conference. The conferences are going to do everything they can to get every timezone for viewership, and Gonzaga brings in the Pacific timezone audience with a legit title contending team.
The Big 12 has allowed other universities to compete in Wrestling and Olympic Sports, even though they were not in BIG 12 basketball and football. Lol no further than our own UVU, whose wrestling program has been in the BIG12 for years, yet they played in a different conference for basketball. Gonzaga deserves to be in a bigger conference, so why allow the PAC 12 or other conference to take them?
