Tesla has cranked up production.. they made a HUGE delivery push this past September.
I only waited ~3 months for my Model Y Performance (ordered in late June, it was Delivered first of September).
The market got FLOODED by people who thought they could order a Tesla and then flip it for a profit. Then you have the people who traded up their Tesla for a new one when the prices were high.
Wait times on a NEW Model Y/3 Performance are under a month.
Wait times on a NEW Model Y Long Range is 1 month (order now, get it around December)
Wait times on a NEW Model 3 Standard is 1 month (order now, get it around December)
If you buy one of the 'pre-built' NEW Model 3 dual motor LR you can have it in weeks.
Tesla has also flown 200 employees to California from their Shanghai plant. They will be re-tooling and re-arranging the Fremont (CA) factory so it can run at the same speeds as Shanghai.
By the end of the year, the Model Y should pass the Ford F-150 in yearly sales.
