Jaren is an excellent QB. Follow up question: does he have or need “the fire”?
Jaren is a great game manager. Makes great throws and great decisions. I’m sure he wants to win.

I don’t feel like he has a super high competitive drive. I think his mentality is for the offense to perform the best they can, but he doesn’t really get fired up in a Max Hall kind of way.

So the question… does getting fired up, playing with a chip on your shoulder, being a little mad- does it make someone a better QB? Or should i just be happy that he has great stats.

From my perspective, playing with a little bit more edge could’ve seen us more competitive in a shootout type situation at Oregon.
