These work and I've used them before, but you'll never get anything near the advertised speed.
You might be able to get to HD streaming speeds but I wouldn't expect consistent 4K streaming over these, if that matters.

You can buy a cheap router connected to a 100' ethernet cable you could string

If you can do an ethernet cable run from your router to your garage, that's always going to be the best option.

I used some by I think TP-LINK advertised to 1300Mbps, but got 10Mbps-50Mbps depending how they felt any given day
