Those bench chairs once you sit down you are not getting out. You are stuck there unless you inconvenience everyone else. There just isn’t enough room for passing each other. If you do need to pass you get to know strangers really well. And I’m an average height slim guy. If I don’t have enough room I can’t imagine what it is like for tall people.

Also the arguments Notre Dame or whoever is not great. Just because it’s a thing doesn’t mean it needs to stay that way. Let’s lead the charge on better designed school stadiums.

Even just adding 2-4 inches in leg room would make a huge difference.
