I've surrendered and pay for unlimited washes from Quick Quack.
They use brushes. I will/do get "swirl" marks.
But I decided having an always-clean car, maybe with swirl marks, is better than a sometimes clean car that I have to wash by hand.
Also, I drive a pretty inexpensive sedan.
You could doe PPE or ceramic coating or both to really protect and keep it clean.
