It's my opinion cops should be visible and that the deterrent effect of their being so is at least as effective as hiding and waiting to catch a speeder unawares. Plus I hate the idea of the police keeping themselves secret (with obvious exception for undercover work). I don't think ordinary people should view the police as the enemy.
