Great line from a Utah fan/friend about the sanctity of the Rose Bowl
So I was talking to my buddy who is a Utah die hard and I mentioned how much I hoped the playoffs expand to 12 or (extremely low likelihood) 16 teams.
He responded “Honestly I think 6 or 8 is the number. Games would mean less at 16. Plus, we need to protect the Rose Bowl permanently from becoming part of the playoffs.”
I asked “so you want to make it so that the Rose Bowl is not in the playoffs because it’s better than the playoffs?”
“Not better, just different and unique. And I don’t want to lose that.”
I rolled my eyes and told him that Ohio State apparently never got that message 😂
Utah fans make it to the Rose Bowl one time and apparently it’s the Galactic Championship…
