The loyalty Bronco expects isn't "I got you this job, so you stay with me
until I say I'm done."
What he expects is "If you say you're with me, then be with me 100%. Work as hard as you can.".
He wouldn't have stopped anyone from taking another job. He wouldn't have stopped anyone from retiring. He wouldn't have thought anyone disloyal if they had gone to another school. He would have thought they were disloyal if they were mailing it in and just cashing their pay check. He would have thought they were disloyal if they stayed with him, but spoke badly of him behind his back. That's the kind of loyalty Bronco talks about.
