Tyler Allgeier was a RB in HS
The move to LB was pretty quick, and he wasn't even there for an entire season. He didn't have to learn the RB position like Davis, who had always been a receiver.

Katoa NFL?

No chance of that. But 5 years playing college football is plenty.

I think Ropati could be an Allgeier lite RB. Similar body and running style.

If he were going to be that he wouldn’t be RB4.

I think you're reading more into it. BYU doesn't release depth chart beyond 1s and 2s.

A Rod has stated explicitly that McChesney is RB3

McChesney runs very much like Katoa, so I guess if the coaches are fine with type of back... (shrug)

Yeah, maybe we see some shifts once other backs can actually get reps?

Gunnar needs a season with no injuries so he can show some consistency.

Yet his injuries this year have both come from guys rolling up from behind him because he was blocking downfield.

Katoa isn't an NFL back. He'll be back. Romney should be back if he wants the NFL. Empey will probably leave. I'm glad
