But the market demands newer and greater. Toyota was well over due by most standards. I like what they've done, might even buy one in the next few years. But there is nothing that grabs me and makes me "need" this truck.

That engine is fantastic. Different transmission would have closed the MPG gap enough to compete.

Tacoma SR5 is getting a rear locker. I hope they bring that option to the Tundra at that trim.
