It's sort of like Game of Thrones. "There must always be a Stark in Winterfel". There must always be a Zendejas in Tempe.
That being said, Ruiz leaving largely because he struggled with a groin injury was a loss. If ASU had held onto him and Turk, they'd likely have top 5 national kicker and punter. Now it's a little iffy.
