The star system is certainly not perfect, but it’s at least credible enough to determine the programs that just simply don’t have the horses to be elite.

I like Kalani and think he”s good enough to take a 60th ranked recruiting class and produce a top-40 program. I think he can over-perform, but I don’t think he’s good enough to take that talent and build a consistent top-20 program.

I see a lot of talent on this years team… perhaps better depth than we’ve had in a few decades. But if we are to become a consistent top-20 team, we need to consistently land bigger recruits.
