Covid was awful for my wife and I (both 30). Not a mild cold at all.
Neither of us presented with being overweight or any other big health issues. We each had a decent case of it, though. Loss of taste and smell. Difficulty getting out of bed for a week. Not allowed to leave the house until symptoms were gone. And several weeks of disorienting brain fog. I needed supplemental oxygen at one point when breathing became a struggle.

Look, I’m as anti-Covid restrictions as they come, but I’d tell anyone who hasn’t had the virus to get the vaccine. Most of those mild colds were very possibly false positive tests (which were frequent, and happened to our neighbor). The actual virus was a worse experience than either of us thought it would be. If there was a surefire way to not catch a case like we had, I’d do it in a second. The guy at the desk next to me at work had a similar case, and still hasn’t fully gained back his taste/smell after several months.
