And the Niners won't be putting another defense on the field like they did in 2019. So if they couldn't get it done then, it will be tough sledding to get it done now. I'm not saying they can't, but having a legitimate playmaker at QB gives them a much better shot than hoping to win simply by running the ball, making timely throws, and playing defense. The 49ers have won 5 Super Bowls and lost 2, with the 5 wins being with an all-pro caliber QB and the 2 losses being the type of team they're hoping to win with now (assuming Jimmy G is the QB). Not to mention, no team has become a dynasty without an elite QB. The '85 Bears & '00 Ravens were great teams, but without a legit QB they had very limited success.
