Cougarbib Intervention Needed
The state has no incentive whatsoever to whitewash this incident. And two of
the most reputable lawfirms in the state are not going to tarnish their reputation for a small $ engagement to whitewash a highly publicized matter. They might take work to CYA for a client, but not do a pre-tend investigation.

Hopefully you read the detailed report.

The lawyers tried to contact everyone that could possibly have been on that call. They identified over 50 athletes. They attempted to contact 1sy by email, then by text, and finally a 3rd attempt by phone. Over 20 of the athletes would not even respond.

The ones that did had met twice as a group and created an echo chamber of how they felt that was mostly consistent, but less than 5 came up with any specific words they claim were uttered.

Consensus was that she was not offensive to Polynesians but there was a feeling that she was against LDS culture. Interestingly, some indicated she remarked about inclusive - but from their remarks it was clear that they thought the word meant the opposite of what it means.

Finally. The President was not involved in the interview process other than to approve the final recommended candidate.

She did meet with Maile since he requested a meeting. It was at that meeting that he laid out his recruiting pillars 1. Local. 2. LDS. 3. Polynesian. Anything but inclusive and she did have concerns about that.

Maile was very unprofessional in several ways about how he handled this.

He demanded the independent investigation. Then, he refused to be interviewed.
