First off, I am pretty sure that the Committee does not review ANY tape as they say they do. Also, I think there might be some Mary Jane in their meetings.

Some key takeaways from this week's rankings:

1. How do you keep OSU still in the #4 spot when you have two SEC teams with more wins, against better competition as well in Texas A&M and Florida still behind them? I get that each of them has 1 loss, Texas A&M loss to #1 Alabama, and Florida loss to #5 Texas A&M. But both have played 8+ games and against better competition IMO. OSU has played 4 games. The only team in the top 15 that has not played at least 6 games btw.

2. Iowa State #9 and Iowa #19. Something stinks with these rankings...

3. BYU being moved up to #13 did nothing to change the fortunes or chance to get into an NY6. I agree with others that BYU will be strategically moved around to be just outside of getting to an NY6 Bowl and will be relegated to a crappy bowl again.

4. OK State jumping 8 spots to #15 after beating a 3-5 (now 3-6) Texas Tech by 6 points? If this is not an indicator of what the Committee will do to prevent BYU then look closer.

5. North Carolina moving up two spots to #17 after losing to ND.

6. Wisconsin moving up two spots to #16 after playing no games and being 2-1 (3 games total played) and the only 2 win team in the top 25.

There are many more, but the above is just so baffling to me. I believe that the Committee is actively working to prevent BYU (or another non P5) from the chance to get to an NY6. It sucks, but the writing is on the wall, and unless something absolutely crazy happens to force their hands and put BYU in, the Cougs will be going to the bo-diddly bowl in New Mexico or Idaho. Folks, to get to an NY6, it would take a miracle at this point.

It is the season of Miracles, so... I guess we have that to put hope into.
