but not really special. Now, we're only three games in and we need to see it for the entire year, but right now you give the edge to Zach at QB.

Obviously Staley takes top honors at RB.

BYU had two guys at TE on the 01 team that went pro. TE goes to 01.

Mahe was really good at WR and helped make Doman looked better than he was at passing, but the other guys were more average. I think you could argue even overall at WR.

My memory escapes me on the 01 oline, but I do recall Staley ran through some massive holes. That was a really good offense in 01.


The 01 defense had some guys get drafted, but as a unit they we awful. The secondary was Gilford and that was it. For as good as Denny was in the NFL, I still have nightmares of CSU's Sunshine dragging him down the field.


I'm not fully convinced that the 20 defense isn't smoke and mirrors right now, but they've still already done more than that 01 defense did.
