The success at Corner Canyon is 75% coaching...if Kjar left and went to another
school the program would be a good but not at the level it is now.

3 factors of his success.

1. Weight Room no one gets a free pass. If you don't lift you don't play. CC players are in better shape, speed and conditioning are noticeably better during the game. Bingham was exhausted after the first quarter.

2. Kjar has a system that all the kids buy into. His practices are like clockwork and they move from period to period quickly and efficiently. You don't see groups of kids standing around talking or horsing around like at other practices. There isn't time or patience for that stuff.

3. Expectations from the top down are through the roof. He will light up a starter like he would a back up and no one is allowed to give less than 110% at all times.

Corner Canyon practices are open to the public. I have seen entire teams come and watch a Corner Canyon practice and they all say the same thing when they leave "that is intense".

I have played at various levels and coached high school recently here in Utah. Kjar is the biggest difference maker not $$$.
