Not amazing, but well-executed fight scenes and interesting concept. About immortal mercenaries whose leader is becoming weary of life and the seeming inefficacy of their efforts. The villain is cliche and dull, but I liked that they didn't simply use a counter-powered supervillain like Marvel tends to rely on. Charlize Theron and Kiki Layne are good as the leads. Didn't love the set up for a sequel. But it could be worth seeing.
Before seeing the movie I saw a complaint online that Netflix is relying too much on cheaply licensed pop songs for its movies, rather than commissioning decent scores, and then I couldn't not notice it here. It did rely on pop songs a lot, and I'm not sure I recognized a single one.
The look of it is a little bland, but the supporting cast was generally good. I liked the way they wrote the gay couple in the crew. Worth seeing if you like action movies.
