The sports that benefit the fewest people are the ones most in danger; honestly
sports like college rowing, diving, tennis, etc. are hard to justify financially. The costs of operating those teams (travel, coaches, etc.) when they benefit only a few students and attract tiny audiences is probably not justified. Why should other students who pay a lot of money in tuition and fees be heavily subsidizing expensive sports that benefit only a few students and a few spectators?

Honestly it doesn’t make sense.

I think this is a good time for bloated college athletic departments to trim their unjustified sports.
