Shakey’s Pizza, Fuddruckers, and Chuckie Cheese were huge when I was a kid. Shakeys was cool. Fuddruckers had a line that went for miles it seemed where you’d get you burger on a frisbee, and Chuckie Cheese was like Disneyland down the street with dancing and singing animatronics in huge buildings.

The other was A&W. It wasn’t the huge success these others were but I loved getting a frosty glass mug of root beer and taking the mug home.
