I was there. Took my fiancée, now wife, and don’t recall it being too hot. I’d
... lived here in Bama for just over a year and had served my mission in Brazil... so the humid heat didn’t get to me.
Wife was a senior at Bama at the time. We sat with a large block of Alabama LDS... split pretty evenly among the two teams.
I don’t recall Bama being world-beaters back then. Shaun Alexander was the real deal though.
Was sort of a relatively down period in general. That year was 4-4 in the SEC and 7-5 overall. Would have been a big feather In our cap nonetheless to win in TTown.
