I installed a typical Hunter ceiling fan in my boys room yesterday. I removed the standard dome light and installed it on the same junction box/wires that the light was hooked up to. It appears to function totally normally on on the lowest fan speed — however when I have the light turned on, and bump the speed up to "2" it will operate normally for 3-5 minutes and then slightly short or lose power (light goes off and fan stops) just for a second and immediately kick back on. This cycle will repeat - runs normal for 3-5 mins and then cuts our for a second.
