Yea it used to really bother me and once I moved to bama and started seeing CFB
At a different level I realized 3 things
1) BYU football will never be as big as I wanted it or at a level I thought it was
2) The BYU vs Utah rivalry is crazy and probably top 5. But there is a complete level of separation with MI vs OSU, TX vs OK and of course Auburn vs. Bama. These 3 rivalry are in their own little world.
3) the two programs are going in different directions and the separation is happening quicker and quicker each year.
I dont think Utah football is elite but I think the quality of product expectations for BYU is getting lower and lower. Have yet to figure out what exactly that is driving it ( BoT, Administration, P5, Indy) while Utahs is getting higher and higher.
