When a guy doesn't miss an easy layup in hoops in crunch time I don't really
"give him credit" I just acknowledge that he did what he's supposed to do.
If it rolls around the rim and just barely goes down I'll be happy it went down, but cringe.
A 33 yard FG for a scholarship kicker should be the equivalent of an easy layup. I'm glad it was called good, but it shouldn't have been in doubt.
