I know this guy from the mission
I served with him in 2002. He is actually a super nice guy and was a stand up missionary. He is definitely an ALUF. He worked in the mission office with the mission president for some time and is someone I’d consider a friend. He was a strong Utah fan back then, too. He’s always been over the top as a fan.

I was shocked to see this come from him. I would’ve never thought words like these would ever come out of his mouth (or fingers). I wonder if he has ever actually said something like this out loud. I also wonder if his family and wife feel the same, completely shocked that something like this would come from him. He obviously made a huge mistake and is going to pay for it in many ways. I hope he and his family can learn from this and get through this. Horrible thing to do. His life will be changed forever.

Not as bad, but this reminds me of that incident where the guy made a stupid and unfortunate decision after an Alabama and Auburn game (tea and bag put together). The guy ended up losing his job, had to move and switch careers, I believe. The guy’s family was completely shocked and devastated he would do something like that. Fans become so obsessed that they lose a sense of reality and humanity. In this social media case fans get caught up living a double life and being someone they aren’t behind the computer screen.
