When my son was little, he was on a flag football team. His coach was a guy who had just moved to AZ from a small town in Northern CA. Unfortunately, for this guy he moved onto a street that was almost all one family that was a bunch of ding dongs. So, he didn't really have a good impression of members of the LDS church.
Anyway, one day we were talking about what we wanted the kids to learn - specifically his son. He was having a difficult time getting explained to him with a bunch of butterfly chasers on the team. Anyway, I told him about After Further Review and he watched it with his son and really liked it. They became regular watchers because they would have a bunch of examples of learning the right things to do. They began watching other shows from BYUTV as well.
A short while after that, we are walking through the open house of the Gilbert temple. Turns out he wanted to go see it because he was curious to learn more after what he had watched on BYUTV. He never joined the church, but has a much better opinion of it because of BYUTV. No way he would want to watch the crap show that has gone on the past few years. I barely watch AFR myself anymore.
