Heard recently about a cool app put out by Berkeley and National Geographic called "iNaturalist".

It uses artificial intelligence to help you identify wildlife (both plants and animals), and also has a community of users to help identify as well. You snap a picture (and I think you can do audio as well), upload it, and it spits out the answer.
