We just lost to a P5 team that will win 9 games or more this year. We have 3 wins in 40 tries in our history against such competition. Losing to a team that is the caliber of this year's Utah team is a 100 year problem not a Kalani and Holmoe problem.
I think people are looking at 2017 as a multi year trend. However, 2018 looked nothing like 2017. Not only did we win more games, but we won against teams with a winning record including beating a winning P5 on the road for the first time since 1997.
So enlighten me, what multi year trends am I missing that showed up in the Utah game that hasn't been an issue for a century?
