Blue goggles prediction: Win a well-fought game to break the streak against Utah (1-0). Ride into Tennessee with that momentum and turn it into a Wisconsin type win (2-0). USC comes into town better than we thought, and we're a little worn out, they snap us back into reality, but a late comeback gives us the W (3-0). We're riding on depth by now, and that's a scary thought; Washington takes advantage, and wins by like 4 scores (3-1). After the Washington disappointment, where we lose even more guys to injury, Toledo becomes bigger and badder. We hold off a late comeback by the Rockets and win in ugly fashion (4-1). USF and Boise end up being very similar games, I could see both going to OT. We lose one, we win one. If I had to guess, we win against USF (5-1), lose to BSU (5-2). The week of the Utah State game, their players and fans do just enough to royally piss off the entire team, we come in hungry, yet are down at halftime. End up winning by a few scores, much like Cincinnati 2015 (6-2). I don't even want to waste my time writing about the next few, we win by a lot against Liberty, Idaho State, and UMass (9-2). We're ranked pretty high and come into San Diego a little too confident. They surprise us with a few trick plays and win in OT (9-3).
More logical prediction: I refuse to ever pick us to lose to Utah, so we win by about one score, nothing more. Neither team produces much, it's a defensive game (1-0). The Utah game already takes out some of our depth, we're overhyped about winning that game, Tennessee wins their first fans-have-alcohol game in their history (1-1). USC is better than we think and we're struggling with injury from the previous two games (1-2). We beat the spread against UW, but lose the game; again, injuries/depth are a major factor (1-3). After so much preparation, fatigue, and injury, we walk into the Glass Bowl completely unprepared. They jump on an early lead and don't look back. We score a few in garbage time but still lose pretty big (1-4). The bye week saves us against USF. We win on a last second field goal (2-4). With that little bit of momentum, and players coming back from injury, we take advantage of a Boise State team who is also missing key players. We win by like 10 (3-4). This next bye week doesn't actually do us any favors. Utah State gets in our heads, and we come out flat. We almost come back, but a TO in over time kills our chances to win, USU hits the game winning field goal (3-5). Once again, I have no desire to write about the next three, but we win pretty big (6-5). The SDSU game goes a lot like the Utah State game, but in our favor. Very close game sealed with a SDSU turnover (7-5).
