doesn't understand football and/or hasn't been watching the series. With very few exceptions, I have taken every win over the past twenty years with a sigh of relief and genuine respect for the game BYU brought to the Utes.
And honestly, I drink the red kool-aid as much as any Ute fan. I get why some of my people are confident--eight wins in a row, multiple players forgoing the draft to return for a run at a conference championship, 15 returning starters from a team that was a stupid pick-six away from the Rose Bowl. I really think this team is loaded.
But, how could anyone ignore what BYU brings back this year--17 returning starters from a team that played very well down the stretch, solid senior transfers at running back, an exceptional offensive line, match up problems (Bushman) all over the field, a maturing coaching staff, etc. I just don't see a lot of holes in the 2019 cougars.
This game is going to go down like the others over the past 20 years--it will be a hard fought battle and the fan base of the winning team ought to respect their opponent. My two cents.
