"Following the announcement of the resignation of Urban Meyer, Bill Riley interviewed Whit about the 2018 regular season, and the yet-to-be-lost Holiday Bowl. Towards the end of the interview, Riley asked Whit about Urban. He said that they had spoken, he talked about Urban's success, his intensity, and the physical toll that it takes on Urban. Riley said something "I've never seen Urban as one of those coaches who coaches into his late 60's, and 70's.
To which Whit replied "I'm not one of those coaches either." He said that he and his wife have a deal, and that there are things that they want to do, after coaching. "
I can see him extending another couple years- maybe through the 2025 season. (He took over in 2005- that would be 21 seasons as HC.)
