hire that the basketball program has ever made. Both Cleveland and Rose had coached at the high school and community college levels before BYU. Pope has been at Georgia, Wake Forest, and BYU as an assistant, and as a head Coach his team has improved every year at UVU. He’s proven he is a solid recruiter and player developer.
Honestly, I’d be hesitant about Madsen never having coached at the college level, dealt with recruiting, etc. Not sure how well equipped he would be to deal with the challenges of BYU.
