We’ve had plenty of good years and some high quality teams but nowhere close to being elite! We also don’t come close to playing the schedule that the big dogs do. Gonzaga benefitted from a bad conference and an awful SOS to scheduling bigger games against the bluebloods and then actually found a way to be consistently very good.

The WCC, MW and WAC doesn’t compare to the schedule that Duke, Kansas and UNC play day in and day out.

Furthermore, we haven’t sniffed being a top 30 program since Jimmer and won’t anytime soon.
