admissions seemed to be largely ignored. But the pitchfork and torches crowd were certain of PK's correctness - in all of its vagaries. I suspect many of those who agree with PK on this one, are the same who readily dismiss him on other occasions when what he says does not fall into line with their confirmation bias.
It's also incredible to me to think that BYU would have a single decent professor on staff if they were told that they are subservient to the athletic program. Many many professors at BYU love BYU sports, but I suspect are not prepared to sacrifice or limit their careers to admit an athlete, whom they hardly know, to their grad program.
The reality is that many grad transfers are basically football mercenaries, just looking to get one more year of football, not necessarily hoping to be a strong addition to a grad program of very limited resources.
