Brighton tends to get a little better snow because it's at a little higher elevation. I like the tree skiing better at Brighton - the trees are well-spaced and the steepness is just right for trees.

Solitude has better open bowl skiing and is steeper so that makes for fun on a powder day. Solitude also has a lot fewer snowboarders which, from a skier's perspective, is a good thing.
